Iron County Recycling has single steam drop off sites located in Hurley, Mercer, Saxon, and Sherman
Always Recycle - Plastic Bottles & Containers
- Food & Beverage Cans
- Paper
- Flattened Cardboard & Paperboard
- Glass Bottles & Containers
Do Not Include in Your Recycling - NO Food or Liquids
- NO Foam Cups & Containers
- NO Loose Plastic Bags, Bagged Recyclables or Film
- NO Batteries
- NO Green Waste
- NO Clothing, Furniture & Carpet
- NO Shredded Paper (Collector will not accept)
Rinse all containers; Break down and flatten cardboard or place in paper bags.
Recycle plastics based on SHAPE: Bottles, Jars, Jugs, and Tubs are Acceptable.
DO NOT BRING RECYCLABLES IN PLASTIC BAGS: If recycling is brought in a plastic bag, the recyclables need to be emptied directly in the bin and the plastic bag left out.

Please use Drop-Off Sites only during open hours! Drop-Off Sites: Hurley Mercer Saxon Clement Road Saturday (9am to 1pm)
Sherman Oma Town Hall: Saturday (8am to 10am) Town Garage: Saturday (10:30am to 12:30pm) Lucky Pierre’s: Saturday (1pm to 3 pm)
Curbside Pick-Up: Montreal: Tuesday Pence: Every-other Tuesday at 9am Knight: Tuesday
Burn Barrels: Only dry, clean and untreated paper wood products can be burned in a barrel. It is illegal to burn: Asphalt, garbage, metal, petroleum products, plastics, rubber, or treated wood. These materials release toxic pollutants into the air and are recognized as a significant health risk and public nuisance. Please see Iron Co Recycling Ordinance No. 2101
