Accepted Materials

Please sort into the Following 2 categories

Fiber(Paper and Cardboard):

Newspaper, Magazines, Catalogs, Phone Books, Letterhead, Envelopes, Standard Forms, Computer Print-outs, Copy Paper, Junk Mail, Corrugated cardboard, shoe boxes, cereal boxes, soda or beer containers, paper egg cartons, clean pizza boxes.  Break down and flatten cardboard.

 

Co-mingled: Plastic, Glass, Metal,  & Aluminum Cans:

Food, Beverage, & Detergent Containers-Rinse all containers- remove caps from containers and labels from tin cans.  Pop Bottles (Symbol #1), Milk Jugs (Symbol #2), Detergent Jugs (Symbol #2)
Public Information

Burn Barrels: Only dry, clean and untreated paper wood products can be burned in a barrel.

It is illegal to burn: Asphalt, garbage, metal, petroleum products, plastics, rubber, or treated wood.  These materials release toxic pollutants into the air and are recognized as a significant health risk and public nuisance.
