Iron County is a place of incredible natural beauty. With 300 pristine lakes encompassing 34,000 acres of pure water, the only thing that could make it better is Lake Superior coastline. Good thing Iron County has that, too. Come and enjoy an amazing waterfall, or take a long walk on the beautiful sandy beaches of Saxon Harbor. Whether it is winter, spring, summer, or fall, you can enjoy a multitude of outdoor activities. Iron County has it all; fishing, hunting, cross-country and downhill skiing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, mountain biking and much, much more. It is truly a place for everyone.

* There is a Statewide election today for the Superintendent of Public Instruction.  Iron County results will be posted on elections.ironcountywi.org when they are reported by the Towns and Cities.  -- Posted 2021.02.16

* The Iron County Treasurer has posted 2021's list of Unclaimed Funds.  You will need a photo ID to claim any funds.  -- Posted 2021.01.26

* The Iron County Land Info Council is asking for bids on three Remonumentation Projects.  Click here to download the RFP.  Bids are due by 4pm CST on January 29.  -- Posted 2021.01.05

* As of Monday Sept 26, the Iron County Courthouse is open to public access.  State Health Regulations still require masks be worn in all public buildings.  Office visits are limited to one person/family at a time.  Please maintain distance and courtesy when in the Courthouse. -- Posted 2020.10.02
